The Holy Eucharist is at the center of sacramental life. At Mass, during the Liturgy of the Eucharist, we are nourished by the Body and Blood of Christ, and we renew our commitment to Jesus.
Children at Resurrection School are prepared for First Holy Communion, which they receive in May of their second grade year. Children not attending Resurrection Grammar are prepared in their second grade Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) class. Before a child may receive First Holy Communion, he or she must complete two years of formal classroom religious education.
Parents of children not attending Resurrection Grammar should contact the Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) at (914) 925-2754 or visit the website: www.ryeprep.org for more information regarding First Holy Communion.
