The Sacrament of Marriage is a visible sign of God’s love for the Church. When a man and woman are married in the Church, they receive God’s grace and join in a covenant that binds them together for a lifetime.
Due to high volume, our weddings are generally reserved for existing long-term registered parishioners who live in Rye. Please follow the procedures below to inquire about a proposed date:
1. Call the rectory at 914-967-0142 between 10am-4pm, Monday through Friday, to fill out the initial paperwork over the phone with our Rectory Receptionist.
2. Please note that it can take about two weeks to hear back about the possibility of getting married at Resurrection.
3. Initial meeting with a parish priest to finalize a date and discuss required paperwork.
4. Attend a Pre-Cana session, please see the information below.
5. Please visit the wedding planning page at Wedding Information | Liturgy and Music (resmusic.org) for all of the materials you will need to plan your wedding and to book your wedding workshop with our music director.
Since marriage is so significant, the Archdiocese of New York insists that all couples go through the marriage preparation process. To learn more, see upcoming dates and locations, and register, please visit: Marriage Prep | Archdiocese of New York (archny.org)
